Roofing and Tarping Resources

  • Tarping Resources

Tarping damaged roofs is a key step after climate disaster. Depending on the roof and the safety equipment available, it can also be completed by community members.

Tarping a damaged roof helps prevent further water damage to the inside of a home, which has all kinds of environmental and economic benefits.

  • Low Waste Tarping

If time and resources are available, we can tarp with repurposed materials and using less nails, thus damaging roof less.

LJRN is actively seeking funding to support developing this process and the materials.

  • Re-roofing

When it comes time to put on a new roof, we can build stronger to support houses in climate disaster prone areas lasting longer.

LJRN uses the standards of a FORTIFIED roofing system whenever possible.
